The Defenders of the Apocalypse have set up their communal living quarters on abandoned farmland outside the former West Bend. There are 12 half-timber cabins of various sizes arranged around a large clearing with a fire pit in the middle. Each cabin houses between 8 and 15 people depending on the size of the cabin. Members of the Defenders of the Apocalypse roam between the cabins and children play in the fields behind the cabins. On the outskirts of the settlement, there are men and women who are lightly armed and making sure that wild animals don't come too close and the children don't stray too far.
